For some people, it's spiders, but for me, it's carnivorous plants

Last night I slept poorly. It wasn't because my bed was uncomfortable, or because the room was too cold, or anything like that. On the contrary, my bed was just fine, and the room was at just the right temperature. No, it was because I was dreaming of being swallowed by carnivorous plants and digested in slow and agonizing ways. Carnivorous plants are really my one big, named fear (as opposed to the myriad nameless dreads that also plague my thoughts). Seriously, can't stand them. I can't really explain it, but then again, it is an irrational fear, so I shouldn't have to justify it. I suppose it's a bit weird, but then again, I can rest easy knowing that I am unlikely to find myself in a position to be around carnivorous plants on a routine basis (knocking firmly on the wood). Or, as easy as a person can rest when they know that that desk is crying out for vengeance from its carnivorous cousins...
