If You Can't Beat The System, Break It!

Last night, Ipps and I tested our bad-movie stamina in the form of Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, a movie where there is no word that is not synonymous with "cheesy dance montage." Seriously, in the world of "Electric Boogaloo," even "a plate of goulash" warrants a dance montage. The movie is the tale of breakdancers Ozone (played by Adolfo "Shabadoo" Quinones) and bumbling Turbo (played by Michael "Boogaloo Shrimp" Smith. I shit you not, those are the actors' names as they appear in the credits.) and their quest to save their [insert community interest here] from the standard greedy developer. Hijinx and multiple dance montages ensue as nothing unexpected happens. We knew this was a bad movie to begin with, and we were not disappointed in this regard. This movie was just as excremental as we had hoped, and we prevailed. This movie was made for MST3k, and it brought out a bit of the joy inherent in that show, namely mocking horrid movies. It was like Gen Y Cops without the action or Alien. Of course, now, for my next birthday, I know for a fact that Ipps is going to get me a truly terrible movie. I accept the challenge.

The Babylon Project Represented Our Last, Best Hope For Peace...This is the Story of the Last of the Babylon Stations.

Well, the weekend was interesting. My friend Ryan is moving to Utah, of all places. Friday night was his send-off at the HuHot (which accepts cash, checks, credit, debit, and enemy plunder). Fun was had at Brutus' expense after he repeatedly and accidentally sexually harrassed the waitress. We felt sorry for her. Saturday, we helped Ryan get all his stuff loaded into the moving van and then played Runebound in the afternoon. I rolled bad on movement, so I didn't do so well. However, a good time was had by all, so no real complaints. Sunday was more or less normal. Monday saw a day full of meetings, the contents of which are unimportant to the over-all enjoyment of this blog. Suffice it to say, interesting topics were discussed. This morning I decided to get back into Babylon 5 before work, and it has me in a good mood.
