For The Weekend

Oh no! There goes Tokyo! Go go Godzilla!

This week has been pretty damn good for the most part. Work has been awesome. An entire meeting yesterday turned into swapping Leonard Oakland stories with some of the other Whitworth alumni, as well as talk of the X-men. After all, the X-Men are pretty damn awesome, if I do say so myself. And I do. In other news, season 3 of Scrubs has been fantastic to me.

Clones

Today I did the unthinkable: I played a few games of ultimate frisbee, and I feel as if the very core of my being has been subtly altered in not altogether pleasant ways. Fortunately, we have showers available for use in our building, which means that right now I have that post-mid-day shower buzz which never fails to get me going. And my legs are as jell-o. It is a most peculiar sensation, I will say that. At any rate, that is all there is to report.

Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution

This is what could best be described as a fun weekend. Friday was Cinco de Mayo (the lamest excuse for a drinking holiday, but a drinking holiday nonetheless), so a group of us hit Azteca for lunch, during which I had myself a giant Dos Equis. Ah, how delicious. Friday night was GR:AW night at the pad, and that was fun. Saturday, my friend Mary from camp came over from CdA and hung out with the crew. We watched The Hebrew Hammer, Kung Fu Hustle, and Shaolin Soccer, and had an all-around rollicking good time. Sunday, Oblivion was my god (I played from about 10 in the morning until about 8 in the evening without stopping for anything). Then Justin came over, which of course entailled discussing his latest literary endeavour (Saint of Excelsior), which is coming along quite nicely, and will most likely turn into quite the tome. I, for one, am eagerly awaiting its completion. At any rate, it was a relaxing and laid-back weekend, so all is as it should be in the world.
