Back from the Dead!

It has been over two months since my last update, and for that, well, I personally blame the internet and the return of swing...
Camp was good, but let's face it, nothing beats civilization. I got back to Sammamish/Issaquah (the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde of suburban communities) on Friday and have been basically just TCB ever since. Events of camp can be summed up thusly: wow. Over the course of the summer, I have (in no particular order) gained a girlfriend, lost respect for humanity (again), learned how to piss off certain elements of the Christian community, caused a conference-wide incident with said lesson, witnessed the inexplicable appearance of a giant fruit bat, visited Master Zemke, started up a peculiar little meme amongst the friends of one Mary Ferguson, roomed with a 300-lb. effeminate gorilla who needed a deodorant strong enough for a man but pH balanced for a woman, created a game called "Identify Ivan" (a rollicking take on "Where's Waldo" in which one seeks to find and identify Ivan, the ever-elusive Ukrainian ninja in the midst of a crowded department store), watched the first 6 seasons of Stargate: SG-1, waged total war against the infernal peacocks of Manastash Canyon, taught small children the art of omphalaskepsis, and written an excessively run-on sentence just for the hell of it. Now that the past two or so months have been accounted for, on to current events.

Well, Erica, Ivan, and I crammed all of our stuff into her car, the diminutive Princess-mobile and drove over on Friday. After dropping me off, Erica took Ivan down to the airport, where he hung out with his friends from Kent. Saturday, I basically just unwound. I slept in, ate a late breakfast, took a walk, engaged in a terse conversation with my parents regarding business, and then watched some Olympic events. Sunday, I went to church, helped my mom and dad pick out a new TV and DVD player, and then went out to Shanghai gardens with Mom, Dad, and Anna while Andrew thankfully vacated the house to go spend the night at his friend's place. Monday rolled around, and I made phone calls and did laundery. Yesterday, Anna and I went to go get out menengitis vaccinations, which was barrels full of proverbial monkeys, let me tell you. Yesterday evening, Erica and I went out for drinks and dinner at the Brewhouse and then came back to el houso, where we watched Mask of Zorro (she had never seen it before). She had her first day of work at the veterinarian's office, so it was a fitting time to celebrate. Then she left and I went to bed and woke up this morning, so here we are.
