I am feeling artistic right now. Here's a poem:

The forest burns.
Red and orange flames lick the limbs
before falling to the ground,
leaving behind only skeletal branches.
The ugly truth underneath the brilliant surface
remains even after the leaves have fallen.
All wonder that once existed vanishes
with the quickening frost.

My parents visited this weekend, which was both good and bad. It was good because I haven't seen them in a while, and I was starting to miss them. It was bad, because they never ceased to nag me about EVERYTHING under the sun. And I do mean everything. They're great people, don't get me wrong. I just don't like being nagged. I know they do it because they care, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I also did a fair amount of movie watching. On Friday night, I watched The Thing starring Kurt Russell as Jesus. Quite a funny movie for all the wrong reasons. I also saw Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Akira, and The Bourne Identity. School is school, as is usual. My hell week is (more or less) over, so that's good. I suppose that's about all there is to say about that.
