Did I Mention I'm a Liar?

So I have been labeled a liar by Corliss. In fact, she has dubbed my entire half of the classroom that. It hurts to be called such. On the plus side, though, she just assumes that I automatically know the answer to any given question she might ask, so I don't have to worry about actually knowing stuff. I just raise my hand, and recognize that I don't have to say anything for the rest of class. It's quite liberating, when you think about it.

Comments?

Seriously, I won't bite. You can leave comments if you want. In fact, I encourage it. Oh well. Maybe I'm just boring.

At any rate, yesterday was okay. Ideas and LS-250 were okay. I had a meeting for work at noon, and that went well. After school got out, I went to the grocery store and got some food/beer. As I was pulling back into my parking lot, I noticed that my spot was blocked by a car idling, and two people kissing. As I waited, the girl pulled away and got out, when I recognized it as Claire! Which meant that the guy in the car was Dave! He and I chatted for a bit, and then he invited me over to his house for stir-fry and wine. Who was I to refuse an offer like that? I deposited my groceries in the apartment and then drove over to his place and we had a rollicking good time, listening to Leonard Oakland's famous Nietzsche rant and some funk versions of classic anti-war songs by Keb' Mo. It was awesome. I then returned home and did homework, as I am sometimes prone to do. I then got a call from Renee, who was going to Shari's, and would I like to join her? Needless to say, I did, so I did. We had a good conversation, a few laughs, and then went our separate ways. Then I slept. And here I am now.

In other news, an Ethics Bowl Update: I just got the roster for Deontological Devils III, and it looks to be fun. Dirty Phil will be joining us, as will someone unknown to me. It should be good. Miranda is going to take the lead this time, so that means less sweat off my back. Plus, she's the better debater.

I Believe the Word I am Looking For is "w00t!"

Well, I got some good news yesterday: I got an A on my paper for Dr. Death! And he doesn't give those lightly, let me tell you. I was most pleased to hear that. He said it was thoughtful, which made me most happy. In other news, I have been branded a liar by Corliss. I can't think why. Yesterday evening, Justin and I went to Applebee's for free appetizers. We were tricked. As one, the two of us turned into Admiral Ackbar, shouting "It's a trap!" Oh well. In other other news, Ian's a magic robot. At any rate, I had best be going to school now. I hope it's a good day.

Long Time Coming

Okay, so this has been one full weekend. On Friday, Danny and I ran the youth group's guys lock-in, wherein we watched all three Lord of the Rings movies back to back...to back. That amounts to about 12 hours of movies. We started at 5:45 on Friday afternoon, and ended at about 6 in the morning on Saturday. I managed to stay up for most of that, except for about two hours in the middle of the second movie, when I drifted off. After that, though, I got my second wind and soldiered through until morning.

Once all the kids left, I went home and slept for about two hours before waking up again and heading over to Dave, Trev, and Jeff's place for some serious d20 action. As I intimated previously, we have been undertaking an NID campaign, and Saturday was our first day. Immediately, I realized that it was going to be a party full of smart-asses, i.e. Dave, Jeff, Trev, Ben, and Tom. Dave plays the Euro-trash xenophile archaeologist, Jeff is the bitchy hacker/engineer, Trev is the non-descript infiltrator, Ben is the rash and impetuous heavy-weapons guy, and Tom is the drunk and inebriated heavy-weapons guy. It went well, but we had to cut it short.

At 8 in the evening, Renee, Mary, and Brandon had their senior project, so I went to see that. It went well. They did a really good job, and it was most humorous. I laughed, anyway. Afterwards, I went home and crashed and slept.

Sunday morning rolled around, so that meant it was time to lead Atheist's Bible Study. It went okay. I then had to read scripture in church and give communion. It felt very weird for me, as only three years ago, I would have never been seen in church to begin with, much less as the scripture leader and communion guy. It was strange to think that to someone who had known me then, it would have looked like Satan giving the liturgy. I guess it just goes to show you that things can and do change.

Sunday evening was BESM with Trev, Ryan, and Cassie. We've been playing a campaign based off of the anime Blue Gender, and it went quite well. We had an awsome boss fight going, and it was quite cool. The end result was three more character points to spend next time. After all was said and done, I went over to Safeway and got some foodage for my little sister, who is currently ill. Damned flu. Good thing I've already had it.
