There's no point in living anymore! I can't go on! Where's my kayak!?!?
Last night, Justin and I saw V for Vendetta, and I have to say, it was pretty damn good. It was definitely worth the two hours. Afterwards, we hit Shari's (as that is the only restaurant open on the north side after hours), and hung out for a bit. We then returned to his place, where we watched "Gunslinger" from MST3k. We then proceeded to watch Conan, hoping to catch a glimpse of Josh. No glimpse was caught, sadly, though there were some pretty awesome skits.
In other news, apparently there is an honest-to-god comic book shop on the north side now, which I heartily recommend. It's called "Rocket!" (yes, the exclamation point is actually a part of the name), and it's in the mall right across from the theater. I encourage people to frequent it, as it would not do for this bastion of nerdism on the north side of town to die out in front of our very eyes.

What an awesome day! V, then Gunslinger. You can't get any better. Ah, and I found a terrible movie for you to watch if you can find it at the rental store. It is called "Crossbones".
If our horror movie had been full-length, even with no plot or anything, it would have been better than this. It's the story of a terrible pirate in the 1830s (WTF?! A mere 20 years before the Civil War) who gets killed by natives and a blood curse put on him. Fast forward to the present, where a reality tv producer is taking his people up to the island so that they can film their show. Carnage (of a sort) ensues. It was so bad. You will have to fast forward through a bit of the early middle, where, to fill time, they have a section of interviews of the reality contestants that lasts at least 15 minutes.
I am glad that you are having fun up there. Carry on the torch of nerdness, it needs to flame bright for all to see. Or something.
Wow! That sounds awesome! When was it made? I'll have to search it out.
Whatever happened to the comic book shop that was located on the North side, right next door to the Senor Froggy's? I have many happy memories of that place, most of which include playing round after round of Magic: The Gathering.
P.S. Thanks for the shout-out on your blog!
