You look like you're thinking...
Ipps, Shoe, Chase, and I were on the elevator up to the office after grabbing some take-out from Herbal after a game of ultimate frisbee, when a woman in the elevator with us asked, "Are you guys techies?"
We looked at one another, trying to figure out what exactly it was that gave us away. Was it our shorts? The perspiration from frisbee? The sandals?
"I work in HR, for a housing and real estate company, and I've hired a few techies, so I can recognize them, and you guys are definitely techies," she continued.
"What gave it away? The shorts and sandals?" I asked.
"The sweat?" chimed in Shoe.
"No, it's the fact that I can see the gears in your brains going," she replied. After she got off the elevator, we looked at one another, mildly surprised that someone actually talked to us.
"We look like we're thinking," said Ipps, matter-of-fact as always.
"You'd be surprised how rare that is in America these days," quipped Chase.
"I've never been accused of being a techie before," remarked Shoe.
"You and me both," I replied. And the moment passed.

Dude, I roll the dice when I get home. I play frisbee on lunch break. It's all about balance, my friend. In fact, many techies are in frighteningly good shape. You'd be surprised.
