The Infernal Dandruff of a Vengeful God with a Dry Scalp
Yes, the white stuff has been positively pouring down upon the frozen borough that is Spokane, Washington. The commute has ranged anywhere from not insanely bad to mind-blastingly horrid, depending on the day, time, and route. I commute all the way from the northside to downtown, so it normally takes me about 25 to 30 minutes tops in the mornings, but the other day, taking the "safe" route of Division, it took me a whole hour. This was not how I wanted to spend my mornings (or evenings, for that matter), so I decided to take Monroe instead. Turns out that was the right call. Monroe is maintained about as well as Division, but there's less traffic, fewer stop lights, and it's a more direct way to get downtown. Yesterday I ended up leaving work a little early in order to get home safely, and it seemed to work out okay, though I wouldn't want to make a habit of it. I like getting larger paychecks. Hopefully, it will stop snowing by noon or something so I can just do my thing in peace.
