Master of Dungeons
Yesterday was quite good. I woke up, went to the library, and finished up my first draft of my Philosophy of History paper, which I thought went rather nicely. If you ask politely, I might send you a copy to peruse. After that, I went and hung out at Borders for a bit. After about an hour, I got a call from Trev, meaning it was game time. I went over to his place, where we beat X-Men: Legends and then went for dinner at Hula Hut (good teriyaki, if I do say so myself). After dinner, we began work on creating a d20 modern campaign based on Stargate: SG-1. Then Tom showed up, and the three of us worked out how it would play, the mechanics of character construction, and the finer points of DM'ing. I created a sort of dual-mode game, wherein the group can choose to play as either the SGC (the good guys) or the NID (the not-so-good guys). Given the normal psychological pattern of our usual quest group, the answer was quite obvious: NID (in spite of Trevor's personal lawful tendencies). This will be my first time as a DM, so the results will be most interesting.
