Road Trippin'
Last weekend, I made the long, boring drive out to Spokane to attend the wedding of Ben McDonald and Hannah Valstrom. It was a nice affair, and fun was had by all. Friday night, I went with Dave, Chug, and Kendra to find a means by which we could decorate the car, and then returned to Chug and Kendra's house to watch a movie. We then returned to Dave's place, where I was crashing for the weekend, for some serious CoH action. Let me just say this: The People's Will is t3h r0x0rz. The next morning, Dave and I returned to Chug's house for a breakfast of pancakes and bacon. It was a good breakfast. Then, after frantically trying to get a hold of Ben's cousin Bjorn, we headed out, I to Dave's apartment to hang out until the wedding started, and Dave and Chug to the church to pose for wedding pictures. Upon returning, more CoH. The People's Will was now 3\/31\1 /\/\0123 t31-1 120><012z. After reaching a healthy level 5, I put on my suit and left for the wedding. It was a nice ceremony in the Scottish Presbyterian style at Whitworth Pres. I ended up sitting next to James Cannon, my old karate instructor. After the ceremony, we spent a good deal of time waiting to go through the reception line. Dave and I shot the breeze a bit and continued our plotting. We finally made it to Ben and Hannah, and we were able to get out a few pleasantries before being gently shoved into the reception itself. The food was quite good, and I got to hang out a bit with Forrest Baird, which is always a pleasing thing. He never gets my jokes, though. They always seem to go straight over his head. After the toasts ended and the dancing began, Dave, Chug, Titus, and I snuck out to the car and commenced with our matrimonial automotive vandalism. Needless to say, it was good. We stuck a yellow dish-washing glove on the passenger-side mirror, and blew another up like a balloon, which we proceeded to hang out the sun roof. Then we used tooth-paste and soap to write humorous things on the windows. After hanging the cans out the back, we then gave the finishing touches: a Transformers coloring book for the plane, and a set of nail-clippers for Hannah to use on Ben's feet (the kid has never cut his own toe-nails before). In true fashion, we managed to hide all of this from Ben, albeit just barely. We then returned to the dancing, where we cut a proverbial rug. I then returned to the appartment and got in touch with Justin. After picking him up at his place, we then did the "cruise of Division" which proved to be somewhat boring. We tried to find Sarah Adolfson so we could do some serious MST3K, but no luck. Thwarted, we decided to just go to Shari's and get a bit of food. Then I dropped Justin off back at his house and went back to the appartment for more CoH. LEVEL 6 and hover, baby! I then went to sleep and woke up in the morning and played more CoH, and then left at noon for the long, boring drive back to Seattle. And that's all I have to say about that.
